COMMITTEES

The powers and duties of a committee are either specified under the Health Professions Act, the CMTBC's Bylaws, or the Board may assign powers and duties to the committee.  Except for those specified under the Act or the Bylaws, the Board may amend the powers and duties of a committee from time to time, as it deems necessary.

CMTBC committee and panel membership, committee powers and duties and procedures are outlined in the CMTBC Bylaws, sections 19-22.

Current CMTBC Committees include:  Accreditation, Communications, Discipline, Executive, Finance & Audit, Inquiry, Legislation, Nominations, Patient Relations, Quality Management, Registration, Scope of Practice and Unauthorized Practice.
