SCOPE OF PRACTICE COMMITTEE

The mandate of this committee is to monitor the current scope of practice of the profession, as defined under the Act and Regulation, and to review, assess, and propose amendments to the scope of practice.  It works to enhance massage therapists’ scope of practice by developing and maintaining relationships with other committees, government and educational institutions.  It works to stay current with educational material and research that will assist in achieving its goals.

The committee also represents the College before the Health Professions Council and other agencies on scope of practice and related issues.
