COMPLAINT INVESTIGATION PROCESS
Complaints are investigated in accordance with the provisions of the Health Professions Act and the Bylaws of the College.
Generally, the Inquiry Committee will review each complaint and assign a Committee member to oversee the investigation. Complaints that cannot be resolved by mediation or mutual consent may be forwarded to the Discipline Committee and be dealt with at a formal hearing. The Inquiry Committee and the Discipline Committee work closely with the College’s legal counsel to ensure compliance with legal requirements and that the principles of natural justice and administrative fairness are upheld.
