Unauthorized Practice

According to Provincial Legislation only registered members of the CMTBC are permitted to practice Massage Therapy in BC. The government has determined that it is in the public interest that only registrants of the CMTBC are entitled to use the titles "registered massage therapist", "massage therapist", "registered massage practitioner", "massage practitioner" or any other name or description that implies that the person is registered with the CMTBC.

Complaints regarding the unauthorized practice of massage therapy or use of the reserved titles should be directed to the Unauthorized Practice committee via the CMTBC office.
